Functional Overview HKAFO Hip Joints

Partially restricted hip joints for HKAFOs are indicated for patients with lesions from L-3 to L-5 or for other diagnoses that require hip stabilization. We distinguish between 1D movement (flexion/extension), 2D movement with pelvic rotation for increased step length and the 3D hip joint variant with additional abduction. With Modos, unlocking for sitting is controlled by a Pre-Select push-button system. With Fokus, unlocking for sitting is controlled by a lever that can be mounted either anteriorly or posteriorly.
